The eruption of the volcano Plosky (flat) Tolbachik on Kamchatka that lasted for nine months has ended.


      

The experts of the Kamchatka Branch of the Geophysical Service of RAS reported that the active phase of the eruption of the volcano Plosky (flat) Tolbachik is over.


      

Lava flow from the vent stopped, explosions from its boiling also ceased in the course of two days. There is no more glow above the volcanic vent at nights. Lava flows will cool down for a long time, steam and gas activity continues, but activation of Plosky (flat) Tolbachik is no longer expected.


      

Adventive eruption of Plosky (flat) Tolbachik located in Ust-Kamchatsky District began on the 27th of November, 2012.
