The Scythians: Peaceful, but Armed

The solemn closing of the third season of the archaeological expedition "Kyzyl-Kuragino" was held in the field camp of the "Valley of Tsars" on the territory of the Republic of Tyva.


      

This year, the Russian Geographic Society has selected 600 volunteers from Russia and 50 foreign countries. The majority of them are students, future historians, archaeologists, geographers. During the three years of field work the members of the expedition found many important artifacts from different epochs.


      

This year, the volunteers from the field camp "Ermak" managed to find a lot of arrowheads and other types of military attributes.
