An Artificial Lake Opened in the Republic of Altai

The grand opening of the first artificial lake with the surface area of 2.3 hectares took place in Chemalsky District of the Republic of Altai. The main task of the object is the social development of the district, creation of a place where children will be able to learn to swim, where competitions in water polo and other water sports will be held.


      

Besides, it is planned to create the appropriate infrastructure on the area of about 100 acres around the lake, in order to have the possibility to receive up to 5,000 guests in summer. The water will also be used as a reclamation system for irrigation of greenhouse complexes, wherein it is planned to grow agricultural products to be sold in the district and to the tourists having rest.
