Seventh Continent Retailer Could Be Out Of Game

The Seventh Continent retail chain is up for sale, with X5 Retail Group tipped as the potential buyer, says Lenta.ru.

      One of the biggest Moscow retailers could be out of the game, if the reports are true.

      X5 Retail Group, comprising such brands as Pyaterochka and Perekrestok, used to be the market leader until this year when it gave way to Magnit.

      The retailers have been struggling to spur demand and increase the average tiket value after the slump caused by the 2008-2009 financial meltdown.
