Last Saturday saw the opening of the illegal international alternative art exhibition Identity Ghosts in the State Hermitage Museum area.

      As reported by the artist Peter Pavlensky, who opened the exposition at the steps of the largest Russian museum, it is the first project by the Political Propaganda magazine. The exhibition participants presented their works in the territory of the federal state budgetary culture institution with the purpose of “violating the limitations of cultural taboos”.

      Artists with diverse art techniques and languages presented their works to visitors.

      Apart from the visitors, there were lots of policemen at the exhibition opening. After 15 minutes they curtailed the exhibition and expelled the volunteers holding the art works from the Hermitage area. Nobody was detained.
