The Dutch house of Peter I will appear in the Moscow Reserve Museum “Kolomenskoye”.
The Kingdom of the Netherlands presented a copy of the house of Peter I to the Moscow Reserve Museum “Kolomenskoye” within the frame of the Year of the Russia-Netherlands cooperation in 2013.
The works on the construction of the house have already begun. The copy will be built by the Dutch military builders of the 101st Engineer Battalion of Wezep using the specially imported constructions and materials. The monument has been preserved thanks to its influential patrons and the efforts of many generations of the Dutch people.
Bulsing, the owner of an inn in Zaandam, saved it from demolition at the end of the XVIII century. Now Zaans Museum is responsible for this monument of Russian-Dutch cultural heritage.
