The Russian government has approved the revised draft of the three-year national budget, says the Lenta.ru news agency.

      The revision came after a call by the Kremlin to cut public spending amid slower GDP growth and uncertain macroeconomic prospects.

      The balance will be maintained by re-scheduling the large-scale re-armament programme the country embarked on earlier, a pay freeze for the army personnel and other steps
