Russian famous ballet dancer Nikolay Tsiskaridze will continue his collaboration for a while with the Bolshoi Theatre, which refused to prolong a contract with him this summer.
According to the source close to the theatre's leadership, Tsiskaridze is expected to start his training soon for participation in the Bolshoi Theatre's traditional Christmas "The Nutcracker" ballet show. The source has found it significant to add that Tsiskaridze's temporary return became possible after his meeting with Vladimir Medinsky, the current Russian Minister of Culture. Medinsky has agreed to Tsiskaridze's request to give him a chance to say goodbye to his audience and the Bolshoi Theatre's scene.
The respective direction has already been sent by the Ministry to Vladimir Urin, the Bolshoi Theatre's general director, and he had to concede to it, "though the Tsiskaridze's return can be fraught with new conflicts in the theatre's troupe."
Urin said in his recent interview to Russian press that "it will be rightly" to let the artist bid farewell to the scene but stressed there is no the final decision on this matter yet, as it is necessary to coordinate a range of important organizational questions.
Nikolay Tsiskaridze left the Bolshoi Theatre after the terms of two his contracts of a ballet dancer and a coach had expired in June 2013, and the theatre's heads decided not to extended it. Tsiskaridze's discharge followed a prolonged dispute between him and his employers, which has been on everybody's mouth since 2011 to 2013.
