During the last session of the General Assembly of the Polish Academy of Science Anatoly Torkunov, Rector of the Moscow State Institute for the International Relations, has been elected as a foreign member of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

      President of the Academy of Science of the Republic of Poland Michal Klyaber highly appreciated Torkunov’s achievements as a scientist and highlighted his significant contribution to the development of Russian-Polish relations.

      He also expressed the hope that the membership of the Rector of MGINO in Polish Academy of Science will serve to strengthen scientific contacts between the two countries.
