World classical musicians will take part in the III International Festival Days of High Music from October 1 to 13 in the Samara State Philharmonic Hall.
It will consist of 6 concerts by world stars and vivid young talents to perform the world's best paragons of classical music.
The Irish pianist, the winner of the International Peter Tchaikovsky competition Barry Douglas will take part in the festival opening on October 1.
October 4 will see compositions by Tchaikovsky, Beethoven and Borodin performed by the legendary Borodin Quartet rooted in 1945.
A concert dedicated to the 200th anniversary since the birth of Giuseppe Verdi will take place on October 6. The State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Russia will perform fragments of Verdi’s operas.
Performance of world class jazz will becomes an integral part of the festival. Thus, on October 9 the jazz trio of the Grammy award winner Marian Petrescu will perform at the festival.
On October 11 the Constellation of World Talents concert will present music performed and composed by children.
On October 13 the festival will be crowned with five great violins: Amati, Stradivarius, Guarnerius, Guadanini and Vuillaume. The most senior "performer" is Amati violin dating back to 1595. The possibilities of these unique instruments will be demonstrated by the Merited Artist of Russia Dmitry Kogan.
