Season of fountains in Moscow will finish on October 1, 2013.

Because of an early cold snap in Moscow that was brought by the cyclone from the Arctic, the fountains in the capital will complete their work earlier than usual.

On 1 October, 2013 all the fountains will be closed till spring time: they will be cleaned and reconstructed if necessary. Some parts of the water systems will be covered with shields.

Last summer, there were about 500 fountains operating in Moscow.
