Menshikovs Palace in Oranienbaum to Be Restored

A contest for completion of restoration of the Bolshoy Menshikov’s Palace of Oranienbaum has been announced in St. Petersburg.

      The ceiling price of the contract makes 242,5 million rubles. Upon completion of restoration the Bolshoy Menshikov’s Palace will house museum expositions, a repository, a library, and administration rooms. Apart from engineering works the experts are expected to carry out restoration works with external and internal decorative peculiarities of building painting, to repair plaster finishing and an architectural and stucco molding decor.

      Besides, the parquet floor, windows, doors, and characteristic painting are also planned to be reconstructed.
