The international festival American Brass Autumn in Petersburg will take place in the city from October 13 to October 18.

      It is held in the framework of the large-scale project Petersburg Seasons of Wind Music.

      The audience will get acquainted with modern brass music art, which is just taking shape in Russia so far. The festival will present popular American soloists who have gained worldwide fame. Talented young soloists of the Petersburg orchestras Defile Brass, CITY BRASS Duet and others will also participate in the concerts.

      The festival visitors will listen to classical and modern, intellectual and light entertaining music, jazz classics, as well as music pieces played in Russia for the first time, and those created by modern composers specially for the project.

      The program also includes baroque music, jazz standards and world premieres. The concerts will take place on stage of Capella, Raikin Variety Theatre, and the Sheremetev and Italian Palaces.
