On Sunday, October 13, famous and beloved Soviet-Russian theatre and movie actress Olga Aroseva passed away in the 88th year of her life, Moscow Academical Theatre of Satire reports on its official website.
The date and place of a funeral ceremony will be announced later.
As it was reported earlier, Aroseva had stopped her participation in the Teatre of Satire's stagings in September 2013 due to some illness. At the end of September she was sent to the hospital in a serious condition.
Olga Aroseva graduated from the Moscow Academy of Drama in 1948. Starting from 1950 she has been working in the troupe of the Moscow Academic Theatre of Satire. Aroseva also often took parts in Soviet movies and popular TV shows and was widely considered as a people's actress and a person of an incredible comic talent. The most famous Russian movies with her participation are "Grandads-Robbers" (1971), "Unbelievable Adventures of Italians in Russia" (1974), "Beware of the Car" (1966) and many others.
