Biryulevo: Special-purpose Plan

The situation in the Western District of Moscow Biryulevo has normalized. No one left near the shopping center "Biryuza" after midnight. There are no protesters in surrounding streets. According to police, nearly 400 people were detained for unlawful acts under article 213 of the Criminal Code (Hooliganism). Special-purpose plan "Volcano" introduced to fight against disorders in Biryulevo has been cancelled.

Nevertheless, policemen are still controlling the situations in the streets. They patrol the surrounding neighborhood and the places where the groups of people protested earlier. At the station "Biryulevo-Tovarnaya" 14 young people were detained in the train with gas spray containers.

Two employees of the Special Police Force were hospitalized after repressing a disturbance in the Western District of Moscow Biryulevo. Many police officers sustained injuries. Battalion commander of the Special Police Force was hit with a bottle.

Yegor Shcherbakov

After the murder of 25-year-old Muscovite Yegor Shcherbakov at night on October 10 in the Western District of Moscow Biryulevo by a supposedly "migrant", mass protests of citizens were held in Biryulevo where they demanded to find and punish the murderer of a young man, and also to check all migrants living in the area. Hundreds of people attacked a shopping mall "Biryuza" and local vegetable market, they erected barricades and fought with police.
