Aeroflot company has introduced a brand new low-cost subsidiary called Dobrolet.
Aeroflot, Russia’s leading airline company has registered own lowcoster. The new discount carrier was named "Dobrolet" by the name of today’s Aeroflot predecessor.
The new airline "Dobrolet" will be based in the Moscow region. It will operate the fleet consisting of a narrow-body one-class configuration Boeing-737-800 NG aircrafts. It is expected that the first flights of the brand-new carrier "Dobrolet" will take off in spring of 2014. At the early stage, the airline will carry passengers to the most demanded destinations in European Russia.
Lowering of transportation fares up to 40% compared to the ‘traditional’ carrier charges will be effectuated in several ways. Among them are increasing the number of seats in the cabin at the expense of pitch reducing between the seats and fixed backrests; direct ticket sales only; charging additional fees for more comfortable seats, luggage check in, priority boarding and onboard meals as well as the possibility of booking and selling additional services online at airlines’ website.
The next year, after launch the airline will operate eight Boeing 737-800 NG aircrafts. On the fifth year of operation "Dobrolet" fleet will consist of 40 this type airplanes.
