The Naive Art Museum has opened an exhibition of the Dutch artist Ina Fraiquin.
The exhibition has been organized jointly with the ArtContract Exhibition Agency and is held in the framework of the official program of the Year of Russia – Holland cultural exchange.
Most of the “naïve” artists become those after strong shocks. It happened to Ina Fraiquin a number of years ago, when her personal tragedy forced the woman to change her life to restore the lost harmony.
“Separation, pain and ruefulness were easier to rub through when she was painting and modeling sculptures” – the artist’s biography reads about that period in her life.
The exhibition runs till November 17.
