Zenit and The Simpsons

Saint Petersburg "Zenit" will compete with "The Simpsons".  

      "Zenit" and the company 20th Century Fox announced their collaboration in the global campaign marking the 25th anniversary of the popular animated series "The Simpsons" and the upcoming World Cup 2014. It is planned to issue a special collection of gift items featuring the main characters of the cartoon and the symbols of the “blue-and-white” football players within the framework of the unprecedented campaign, besides, FOX Channel will show a series of "The Simpsons" dedicated to the World Cup in March 2014; according to its scenario, Homer Simpson will judge the main sports event of the planet, as the press service of "Zenit" reports. Earlier, "Zenit” signed an agreement with the children’s project "Smeshariki". Under the terms of the three-year collaboration it is expected to integrate the blue-and-white symbols and football to the life of the characters of "The Country of Smeshariki", to produce plush toys, stationery, confectionery, clothing, products for holidays and many other things in the style of "Zenit" and famous cartoon characters.

      Football Club Zenit, also known as Zenit Saint Petersburg, is a Russian football club from the city of Saint Petersburg. The club plays in the Russian Premier League.
