Novosibirsk Scientists Found Plants that Fight ARVI

The Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science and the Siberian State Geodetic Academy have revealed plants, which are most efficient in absorbing toxins and destroying ARVI agents.

In the course of long-term research and experiments the scientists investigated more than a hundred species of tropical and subtropical plants. Among them they chose those species, which purify the air in a fast and efficient way. The plants were placed in kindergartens of Novosibirsk. The results of testing throughout a year showed that children in experimental gardens suffered 30 per cent less ARVI than in others.

Now the development is already used in 25 kindergartens, and the Russian consumer protection agency Rospotrebnadzor has included this method in the list of recommended preventive measures for children’s health promotion.
