Three large diamonds have been found at once by prospectors in one of the minefields of Yakutia.
The largest jewel — that of a walnut size – has been assessed at the amount of almost one and a half million dollars. However, this is a tentative value only. The diamond is planned to be sold at an auction and so, the price will most probably increase considerably.
It is a rare case to find especially large jewels in the Yakut fields: it happens up to 15 pieces per year. So the fact makes the find of three similar diamonds practically at the same time an outstanding event.
Collectors are already hunting for the first of the gems, the purest one. As for the two other large diamonds, they will be most likely divided into parts. Not only brilliants, but also diamond details for hi-tech devices and mechanisms will be made out of them.
