The followers of the famous octopus Paul predicting the outcome of the matches of the World Cup 2010 in South Africa are brought up in Sochi. The results of the 2014 Olympics will be predicted by a tiger, a dolphin and an otter.

A little tiger named Pirate lives at the territory of the zoo of "Oktyabrskiy" resort and is 4 months. "The cub has demonstrated the ability to choose one of several equally attractive items more than once - the bait is put close to all toys" – the program "Vesti.Sochi" reported. The results of the competitions of the 2014 Games will also be told by the trained female Pacific dolphin Yunona who lives in the dolphinarium of "Riviera" park. One more "seer" will be the otter Ashley living in the Sochi Oceanarium. The way it is going to guess which of the athletes will take the gold is still kept in secret by the Oceanarium staff.

Paul the Octopus was a common octopus living in a tank at a Sea Life Centre in Oberhausen, Germany, who was used as an animal oracle to predict the results of football matches, usually international matches in which Germany was playing. He came to worldwide attention with his accurate predictions in the 2010 World Cup.
