Moscow subway changes work schedule. Moscow subway introduced an updated, "winter" train time table. On weekdays, peak hours were extended and extra trains were put into operation on Koltsevaya, Kalininskaya and Serpukhovsko-Timirjazevskaya lines.
On Koltsevaya Line from 10:00 to 12:00 – run two, from 14:00 to 17:00 – five and from 19:00 to 22:00 – six additional trains. The Koltsevaya line is one of the busiest in Moscow subway. Unlike other lines of Moscow subway, it does not service any stations that belong to that line exclusively; rather, all its stations are transfer stations, linking to other lines. It was built as a circle route orbiting central Moscow, and became crucial to the transfer patterns of passengers.
On Kalininskaya Line two additional trains operate from 6:00 to 8:00 and five from 9:00 to 11:00 on weekdays. From 14:00 to 15:00 and from 17:00 to 18:00 runs one additional train. From 19:00 to 20:00 and from 21:00 to 23:00 the number of trains plying on the line became more than four. On Serpukhovsko-Timirjazevskaya Line four additional trains were put into operation from 22:00 to 24:00 on weekdays. This change will reduce the gap between train departures, and by creating additional seats, will decrease the load of passengers.
