From November 12 to January 12 the Manege Central Exhibition Hall will be hosting the project New Luxury. Dutch Design in Asceticism Era initiated by the Moscow Design Museum and the world famous company DROOG in the framework of the official program of the year Holland-Russia 2013.
41 modern design objects created by both the most eminent Dutch designers and young graduates of design schools will unfold for the audience modest charms of new luxury: asceticism, unpretentiousness and attention to the everyday. 85 usual bulbs assembled into a smart chandelier. A fallen tree that has been turned into a bench and combined with classical bronze chair backs made an exclusive art object. Old boxes casually fastened by a plait have been transformed into a dresser that is a part of collections of a set of museums worldwide.
A special place in the exposition will be given to a library with books about Dutch design, architecture and fashion.
