Best Covers of Amphora Publishing House to Be Displayed in St. Petersburg

In November, 2013 the Amphora publishing house celebrates its 15th anniversary.

In honor of this event the Erarta Gallery together with the publishing house will open an exhibition on November 14.

It was a long way: the story of Amphora has seen 10 Nobel prize winners, as well as winners of the Booker and The Goncourt Prizs, the Edgar Allan Poe award, etc. Amphora has not only created a new book format — it has in general become a role model for new type of the publishing house in Russia.

The Face Side exhibition is summing up results of work of the publishing house for the last 15 years. It will present 15 posters with the best — key — book covers that have been printed on canvass. Each of them will be accompanied with a note giving an idea of the importance of the cover for the history of the publishing house.

Authors, translators, designers and, probably, the Nobel Prize winners will be invited to the exhibition. Ceremony of awarding memorable anniversary prizes will also take place at the exhibition.

The exhibition will run till December 9.
