The traditional winter festival will be held on December 1 in Yakutsk.

      Yakutsk District Administration held a meeting concerning the upcoming festival "Winter starts from Yakutia" confirming the date of December 1.

      The festival organizers promise to the citizens and guests of the city a lot of fun: very exciting program for everyone. In particular, an exhibition of children's art contests, figure skating competition, opening of the "Ice Town", slides riding and other winter fun.

      In the sports complex "50 Years of Victory" once again will be held a favorite holiday “Stroganina”. And in the central square of the capital there will be a special ceremony welcoming winter - the lighting of the Christmas tree with the main Russian Father Frost who will come from Veliky Ustyug.

      On the same day, the guests of the festival will have an opportunity to see the ice show at the sports center "Elley Bootur", gala-concert of the competition "Diamond Notes", ball-fairytale "Zimushka-Winter" in the State Circus, electronic music festival "Polar Night" and many things else, according to the website of the District administration.
