Children Of The Sun

Russian Academys of Sciences Institute for Space Research (IRS RAS) presented the results of its research of Suns helio-magnetic activity (HMA) an its effect on human health during fundamental Research For Medicine conference held in Moscow.
Scientists have to admit that not all people are magnetic field sensitive, but there are more of them among sick ones (62%), that healthy ones (25%). People, who are sensitive to magnetic field, experience changes in heart rate and arterial blood pressure during peaks of HMA and short time after them, but these changes are different for sick and healthy people. Sick people have lower heart rate and arterial blood pressure, than healthy ones, who detect increase in these parameters. Cosmonauts had same reactions: their blood pressure decreased during magnetic storms before the space flight, and after spending 4-6 months in space (adaptation stress period), their blood pressure appeared to increase during HMA peaks.
The scientists have found correlation between helio-magnetic pulsation and acute cardiovascular disease, as well as heart attack death rate. A surprising fact is that this correlation is detected in winter, and isnt in summer. Scientists yet fail to explain this phenomenon.
IRS RAS scientists together with RAS Institute of General Physics tried to find out the way living biological objects percept magnetic disturbances. They discovered receptor cells in human brain and adrenal glands.
