Sberbank (Savings Bank) temporarily becomes the clearing bank for partners of Master-Bank.

      "Visa and MasterCard agreed on  temporary solution proposed by Sberbank, allowing clients of partner banks of Master-Bank, which has its license revoked, to resume operations with their bank cards as soon as possible", Sberbank reports.

      In order to perform operations and settlements using cards issued by Master-Bank's partner banks, the clients need to open correspondent accounts in Sberbank with funds deposited on them.

      "Transactions with partner bank cards resume upon meeting of specified conditions. Time, required to implement these conditions, generally, is one business day," Sberbank explained. American partners of Master-Bank refused to comment on their relations with the organization. Association of Tour Operators expects confusions with payments due to troubles with Master-Bank. For their part, the partner banks can choose any bank as a partner to carry out operations with bank cards. All approaches are coordinated with the Bank of Russia.
