December 3 will see opening of the exhibition Boris Grebenshchikov. Inherent Properties of Landscape in the Moscow Museum of Modern Art.

      MMOMA is opening the first retrospective exhibition of the legendary poet, musician and artist Boris Grebenshchikov, the frontman of the Aquarium band. The exposition presents his paintings, drawings and photos, as well as posters of exhibitions, key music videos and film works.

      Boris Grebenshchikov took up painting in 1978, and debuted as an artist at the first official exhibition of the Mitki art group in 1985. He was also on friendly terms with the New Academy artists and representatives of the Leningrad expressionism.  Being a key figure of the underground culture, in the 1980s Boris Grebenshchikov quite often took part in informal exhibitions-concerts both as an artist and a musician.

      The visitors will be moving in the Inherent Properties of Landscapes to the accompaniment of Boris Grebenshchikov's music recorded specially for this project.
