Chechen Republic Government Committee of Tourism organized a get-to-know tour around the republic. Members of the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society in Chechnya helped to organize the trip.
From November 14 to 18, 15 tour operators and travel agents from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Rostov-on-Don and other Russian cities met with the republic. Before guests left for the trip, they attended the conference "Specifics of sales of Chechen touristic products". During the conference, members of RGS department in the Chechen Republic presented their project, which actively promotes the tourism potential of the region – a research expedition "Unknown Chechnya".
The trip program included visiting of attractions and sightseeing spots in Grozny and Ahmad Kadyrov Mosque also known as "Heart of Chechnya". Within two days of the tour participants saw the most significant natural and historical monuments of federal and republican values: Lake Kezenoy Am, ancient village of Hoi, the Argun Gorge, tower complexes and other objects. Tour participants noted that "the potential for sports and active tourism in the Chechen Republic is very high".
