Renault is the current leader of the imported car market in Russia.

      According to Autostat, in first ten months of 2013 Renault, the French car manufacturer has become the leader in Russian foreign car market with total 173.494 cars sold, which is 12% higher than same period last year. So, comparing with 2012, Renault left behind such brands as Kia and Chevrolet.

      The spokesperson of Renault in Russia explained that this achievement is based "on development of local production with high level of localization of components". "The share of Russia-made models makes about 85% in total Renault sales. Renault in Russia presents a wide range of affordable and reliable vehicles that have great value for money and a dealer network covering the whole country (165 outlets in 111 cities)", the employee of Russian representative office said. Topping the list of Renault models sold in Russia is Duster crossover, whose sales has doubled and reached 68.163 cars.
