Botanical garden of the Moscow State University disposes the largest in Russia collections of open ground plants. Arboretum occupies 75 hectares; its collection is unique and now is overgrowing. Over the last 15 years the number of garden workers taking care of the Main Botanical Garden's arboretum exposition lessened from 30 to 2 people. Their power is not enough to keep the order throughout the territory. The unique collection of plants, created in the course of 65 years, gradually turns into a forest. Staff invites everyone to help. At this stage the main job of arboretum recovery is to clean collection areas from the young shoots of woody plants.

To thank for the help local stuff will give lectures on any botanical issues, free woody plants (Manchurian walnut, oak, ornamental cherry, maple, hawthorn, etc.), and a cup of tea with a cake.

The Address of Botanical Garden: m. Vladykino. 4, Botanicheskaya str.. Volunteer days: Monday and Thursday, from 11:00 to 17:00. Regarding all questions, find Igor Yatsenko via phone: 8-963-757-83-43 or email: i_o_yatzenko@mail.ru
