WBO light-heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev of Russia defended his title in a short fight against Ukraine’s Ismayl Sillakh at the Colisee de Quebec in Quebec City, Canada.
The Russian stunned Sillakh with a powerful knockout just 52 second into the second round.
In his interviews prior to the bout, he said he wanted to punish the Ukrainian for ‘talking too much’.
Kovalev grabbed the title after he beat UK’s Nathan Cleverly without a 4th round knockout earlier in August.
Kovalev was born in the Russian city of Chelyabinsk and took up boxing only when he was twelve.
