From December 23, 2013 until the end of the Christmas holidays Moscow metro employees will wish passengers a Happy New Year by radio.
This year, Moscow metro staffs personally will send their greetings to the passengers: Christmas wishes from drivers, cashiers, assistant station-masters and escalator attendants will be heard in the metro. By tradition, young speakers will send their wishes to Moscow residents as well. Kids will recite poems about winter and New Year. In addition, Ded Moroz, played by Moscow metro speaker Alex Rossoshanskiy will say by radio his kindest Happy New Year regards to Muscovites and city guests.
The musical part of the program will feature not only modern songs and music, but magnificent classics as well. The New Year's repertoire includes musical themes from the compositions of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Aram Khachaturian, Georgy Vasilyevich Sviridov. Movie songs longtime beloved by Moscow residents will also play in the metro.
