In Russia may emerge a network of wholesale centers selling food with limited shelf life, named "Rosprodset". The corresponding order on creating an interagency working group for establishing the network was signed by Nikolai Fyodorov, the Minister of Agriculture.
To do this, a special working group with Deputy Agriculture Minister, Ilya Shestakov in head was set up. The network will allow creating a system of wholesale food trade as a necessary element of the market infrastructure. In this regard, the working group should work out recommendations to the federal executive authorities about improving the normative regulations in trade and food storage. The idea of creating a federal wholesale centers selling food with limited shelf life was declared summer, 2013 at St. Petersburg Economic Forum by Andrey Krayniy, the head of Federal Agency for Fishery. According to him, the project's purpose is to create a common platform for food manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and consumers.
