Korean Samsung Company has developed an application that will be used during the Olympics in Sochi. A new application for smartphones unique in its kind was presented in Sochi, the main purpose of this application is to help the physically challenged people to find the places equipped with the elements of barrier-free environment in Kuban, the press service of the Organizing Committee of “Sochi- 2014” reports.
The application developed by the Korean Samsung Company was created on the basis of the increasingly popular “Accessibility Map” Internet project. Within this project any resident of any city in Russia can mark the place with all the conditions for practicing Paralympic sports, as well as urban infrastructure facilities accessible to the physically challenged people. The application will help users to find such information on the Krasnodar Territory. About two thousand of accessible objects - buildings and streets – can be seen on the screens of mobile devices at the moment.
