      The top-list of events most frequently mentioned in the search requests of “Yandex” also included the plane crash in Kazan on November, 17, the birth of children in the family of Alla Pugacheva and Maxim Galkin and the “situation” in Biryulyovo (a series of fights provoked by the murder of a local resident Yegor Shcherbakov happened in the Moscow’s Western District Biryulevo on October, 13).

      The list of the most popular women by the version of the search engine was headed by the TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak. Her husband, actor Maxim Vitorgan (Sobchak and Vitorgan got married in early 2013) came in second in the same men’s list. The most popular man was called the actor Andrei Panin who died in the beginning of March.

      Besides, “Yandex” collected statistics on the requests for Russian and foreign television series, films, television projects, gadgets, music, games and memes. The first place among the search requests for films was taken by the movie “Fast and Furious 6”. The most popular gadget became the iPhone 5s released by Apple. The music category was “won” by the song of the Russian singer Natalie “O bozhe, kakoi muzhchina” (“Oh my God, what a man”) released in late 2012. The most popular meme was the “talking hamster”.
