The city of Perm is going to host a photo exhibition devoted to American President John Kennedy.
The photos offered by the President Library in Boston highlight the family, childhood and youth of the future president, his service in the navy and participation in the Second World War.
The exposition also includes pictures featuring Kennedy’s social activity, his work as a senator and the President. The photos showing his meeting with Nikita Khrushchev in Vienna in 1961 seem to be of a special interest. This was the year of the so-called Caribbean Crisis which nearly plunged the world into the abyss of the third world war.
The photo exhibition in Perm is timed to coincide with the release of Kennedy’s book Profiles In Courage. The exhibition has been initiated to strengthen the partner relations between the USA and Russia and develop the dialogue of their cultures.
