Russia was most often visited by the Poles, the Finns and the Chinese from January to September. This was reported by the web-site of the Federal Tourism Agency referring to the preliminary data of Rosstat. In total, Russia was visited by 23,900,000 foreigners in the first nine months of 2013. This number is by 10 % larger than one for the same period in 2012. 2.3 million people (6 %) came to Russia with tourism purposes.
The number of Polish citizens visiting Russia grew by 52% and made up 1.2 million in January-September 2013. 25.3 thousand Poles (-4%) came with tourism purposes. The number of Finnish citizens who visited Russia during the reporting period amounted to 1.06 million (3 %). 77 million (-23%) of them came to our country as tourists. The following largest total numbers of arrivals were reached by China, Germany, Lithuania and Latvia. Earlier it was reported that the Russians most often traveled to Finland, Turkey and Estonia in January-September 2013.
