Proton-M with Express AM5 Satellite Launched from Baikonur

The carrier rocket Proton-M with the upper stage Breeze-M and the Express AM5 communication satellite onboard has been launched from Baikonur spaceport.

      This was reported by the press service of the Federal Space Agency RosCosmos.

      The rocket was successfully fired at 2.50 pm Moscow time from the starting complex of the 81st platform of the spaceport.

      The Express AM5 satellite is intended for providing digital television and broadcasting in the territory of Russia, solving the tasks of mobile presidential and governmental communications, triple play services, as well as creating communication networks on the basis of the VSAT technology.
