Costumes of Dostoyevsky’s Characters to be Displayed in Petersburg

The Dostoevsky Memorial Museum has opened and exhibition of historical and literary costumes created by Nika Velikzhaninova.

      In addition to that visitors will see 17 theatrical costumes with a few of them absolutely unique. “These are costumes of Alisa Freindlikh who played Katerina Ivanovna in The Crime and Punishment, those of Innokenti Smoktunovsky who played Prince Myshkin in The Idiot, of Oleg Borisov as the Usurer, and Sergey Bekhterev as Pyotr Verkhovensky in The Demons, etc”, the exhibition curator Vera Biron reported to the RIA Novosti news agency.

      The exhibition will run till February 11, 2014.
