Number of Victims of Terrorism in Volgograd Goes up to 34

Over the last night the number of victims of the Volgograd acts of terror has increased by three persons. 

      As the Ministry of Health of the Volgograd Region has reported, by 9 am on December 31 the explosions at the railway station and in a trolleybus caused death to 34 people. 

      16 victims have been sent to Moscow hospitals already, and 57 people are still kept in hospitals of Volgograd and Volzhsky. The health condition of several wounded persons still gives cause for concern of doctors.

      Within one day and night Volgograd was shaken by two powerful explosions in a row.  It is a reminder that the first explosion thundered in the railway station in Volgograd at 12.37 a.m. on December 29. The act of terror happened while someone was passing through a turnstile at the entrance. The explosion was so massive that it blew up all windows on the ground and second floor completely. The investigative committee has confirmed that blasting was carried out by suicide bombers.

      Another explosion was caused in a trolleybus of Volgograd at about 8. 20 a.m. on December 30.

      On the last day of the year 2013 the victims of terrorism will start to be buried in Volgograd. The first of them will be those who were lost during the explosion at the railway station on December 29.
