New Year Exhibition of Animated Films Opened in Saint Petersburg

The New Year's exhibition Snow-bound Animated Films has been opened in the Etazhi loft-center in St. Petersburg.

      Specially for the exposition the exhibition curators have collected more than thirty animated films and the best works by modern artists about snow. This collection has taken the Fifth Floor of the loft-center.

      The visitors will see a collection of Russian and Soviet animation movies: both the popular ones, such as Winter to Prostokvashino, The Mitten, Snowman Mailer, and very rare ones, among them the pre-revolutionary animated films Christmas of the Wood Inhabitants created by Vladislav Starevich in 1912.

      The extraordinary cartoon with snow adds a lot to the installations and art objects by modern artists. The entrance fee is 290 rubles.
