Pre-export Syndicated Loan For Russian Copper Company

Russian Copper Company (RCC) has received a pre-export syndicated loan from a group of banks in the amount of $ 250 million for five years, the company announced. The loan is secured by revenues from export contracts for the copper cathodes and rod supplies and by guarantees of RCC production units.

      NATIXIS, Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking and OJSC AKB Rosbank are authorized coordinating organizers and bookrunners. Nordea Bank, Sberbank Europe and Alfa-Bank became authorized banks of the leading arrangers of the loan. NATIXIS acts as loan and security agent, Natixis Bank and OJSC AKB Rosbank are passport banks. Hogan Lovells acted as creditors’ legal advisor. The company includes 10 operating enterprises in mining, hydrometallurgical and metallurgical industries, as well as one trading company with the function of group’s operations management.

      RCC  was founded in 2004. It ranks third in cathode copper production and second in copper wire rod production in Russia. Currently, its accounts for 16% of Russia’s total copper production and about 1% of the world copper production.

      Since it was founded RCC has established ten operating mining and metallurgical enterprises, including ones built from scratch due to RMK investment.
