For the first time opera and ballet troupes of the Bolshoi Theater will jointly tour in New York.
The American audience will see famous staging productions, such as Spartak, Don Quixote, The Swan Lake and the opera Tsar’s Bride.
The Bolshoi Theater will present its gifted constellation within the annual festival organized by the Lincoln Center. Last time the theater participated in this festival in 2000.
The audience will see 15 performances by the Russian troupe, the cultural forum director Nigel Redden reports. The Swan Lake will be performed seven times, and Don Quixote and Spartak will take place three times each on stage of the David H. Koch Theater. As for the opera Tsar’s Bride, it will be sung in the Avery Fisher Hall twice.
The festival will last from July 7 till August 16, 2014.
