Moscow authorities will allocate more than 1.5 billion rubles for construction of a new ski centre in the Southern District.

Two mountain-skiing slopes about 300 m long, a sledge track, and a skiing school with locker rooms, shower and a dining room are planned to be made in the framework of the project in the Shipilovsky Passage. The roofed ski centre will be adapted for being used all year round. The contractor will be selected in a competition that will be announced in August, 2014.

It is a reminder that there was an attempt of a similar project back in 2009; however, it was frozen due to the crisis.
