Russian Soldier monument timed to the 100th anniversary since the beginning of World War I will be set up in Pskov.

      Earlier the Monument to the Russian Soldier was planned to be fixed up in the Georgiyevskaya Street, opposite to House No. 4, which was the headquarters of the Northern Front during World War I. All the works were expected to be completed by August 1. Now the sculpture is expected to be set up in a public garden near the Zolotaya Embankment by February 1. The sculpture will be a gift from the Russian Federation Ministry of Culture and the Military Historical Society.
