The last year became one of the most warm and humid in the history of weather observations.
Director of the Russian Meteorological Center Roman Vilfand told to reporters: “As it was expected, 2013 proved to be the sixth warmest year. It is two-tenths of a degree warmer than 2012, but significantly conceded 2007, the warmest year in Russia." According to Vilfand, the past year's characteristic was that "temperature was above the norm throughout the country." Last year there were lots of precipitations, especially in the Far East, where their amount exceeded the norm by 1.5 times. "In Moscow it was more intense by 30% and made up 791 mm – the absolute annual maximum," forecaster said.
