Two carrier rockets to be launched from Baikonur space center in February, Roscosmos reported on Friday.
"Soyuz-U launch vehicle carrying Progress M-22M transport cargo ship and Proton-M carrier rocket with Turkish Turksat-4A communication satellite are planned to be launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in February," space agency representatives explained.
Active preparations for launches have started on Baikonur. In particular, Baikonur Site 31 fueling station is under preparation for upcoming fueling of Progress M-22M cargo spacecraft with rocket fuel components. The launch of the cargo spaceship is scheduled for February 5. Preparations of Briz-M upper stage, intended for launching the Proton-M carrier with Turkish Turksat-4A satellite, have begun at Site 91A fueling and neutralization station. "Rocket carriers, upper stages and space vehicles will be removed from dead storage within next few days,” Roscosmos announced.
