There Is Enough Snow In Sochi For The Olympic Games

There is enough snow in Sochi for the Olympic Games now, the director of the Hydrometeorological Centre of Russia Roman Wilfand announced: “Fortunately, the snow came very early this year. Three weeks before the start of the Olympics Games the snow is registered at all Olympic venues”.

The director of the Hydrometeorological Centre of Russia added that “another cyclone is due in three or four days, and it will bring some more snow”. Besides, R. Wilfand noted that “the natural snow will also be covered with artificial snow for competitions”. According to him, professional athletes prefer artificial snow to natural snow because of its homogeneity.
