Russian Banks Earned 994 Billion Rubles In 2013

Russian banks' profits amounted 993.6 billion rubles decreasing by 1.8% compared to last year. This was stated in the materials of the Central Bank of Russia.

      In 2012, banks' profits exceeded $ 1 trillion rubles. In December last year the amount of bank deposits increased by 4.3%. In particular, in December 2013 the amount of Sberbank deposits reached 644 billion rubles. In total, in December, Russian banks have increased the loan portfolio as well. Its growth was 0.1% against 1.6% reported a month earlier. At the same time, the retail loan portfolio increased by 1.9% in December 2013 against 1.6% in November of the same year.
